The liquid facelift is based on the combination of injectable aesthetic treatments on the face with the aim of regaining its youthful appearance.

It has two major differences from a surgical facelift: it does not require surgery and all that that entails, and its results are also shorter-lasting. However, for someone who wants to turn back the clock of youth several years and see what it would be like if they went ahead with a surgical facelift, then a liquid lift is an excellent choice.

What does liquid facelift offer?

  • disappearance or significant reduction of expression wrinkles
  • dealing with relaxation
  • toning the facial contour and cheekbones
  • reduction of dark circles and wrinkles under the eyes
  • tear duct restoration
  • lip volume enhancement
  • "filling" of nasolabial wrinkles
  • disappearance of sadness (or marionette) wrinkles

How is a liquid facelift performed?

The purpose of the liquid facelift is to restore the signs of aging caused by both expression wrinkles and the normal decrease in collagen and elastin production in the body, which results in sagging and loss of facial volume. In the liquid facelift, botox is "married" with injectable dermal fillers. Botox is responsible for erasing expression wrinkles and renewing the overall appearance of the face, while dermal fillers are used to give the face a lift and its lost firmness. This means that the liquid facelift is an injectable treatment in which botox is first administered and then dermal fillers are injected, either with fine injections or with microcannulas.

The whole procedure is completely painless, most of the time it does not even require the use of anesthetic cream, while its duration does not exceed half an hour. Immediately afterwards, the patient can return to his activities, without any problems. The only thing that may bother him is possible small bruises at the injection sites.

The secret to successful results in liquid lifting

For the success of the final result, the technique and experience of the plastic surgeon play a decisive role, as dermal fillers, if used correctly, can enhance the natural features of the face and "fill" areas that have lost their volume, but if "overused" the face risks appearing unnatural or swollen.

When are the results visible and how long do they last?

The effects of botox will begin to become visible after 5-7 days. On the contrary, in the areas where hyaluronic acid is used, the effect is immediate. Instead of hyaluronic acid, the patient's own fat can also be used, which is taken under local anesthesia and processed before being injected into the target areas.

The duration of the result in the liquid facelift again depends on the choice of materials to be used. They can last from 8 months to 3-4 years. In the liquid facelift performed with lipotransfer, the results last for many more years – especially if a repeat session is performed.

Liquid facelift or surgical facelift?

The liquid facelift is much more economical, has a more natural result, is a much faster treatment and does not require any recovery. However, the surgical facelift has a more perfect result, which is extremely long-lasting.
