Hair transplant results
The result of a hair transplant takes time to complete. The growth of new hair goes through several stages until it reaches the final result. This natural, dense result that will reward you and last forever!
1st month
In the first month after surgery, it is normal to experience intense hair loss. The transplanted hair is expected to fall out due to the "shock" experienced by the hair follicles during extraction and transport, which results in them entering the telogen phase of their life cycle prematurely (resting phase). However, only the hair shafts fall out, that is, the visible part of the hair. The same the hair follicles remain normally implanted in their place and are preparing to enter a new phase of growth. As for the donor area, already 10 days after the hair transplant it has completely healed and there is no sign that betrays the operation.

3rd month
Based on the hair life cycle, it takes at least 3 months for the first new hairs to become visible in the thinning areas. Therefore, the first months after hair transplantation pass without much visible progress. However, be sure that your hair follicles are healthy and working normally to provide you with the desired result of hair transplantation. Note that the first hairs do not emerge from all hair follicles at the same time, and that the first hairs that grow may be thinner and curlier, reminiscent of those on the body. Do not worry, it is normal. As they grow longer, they will take on all the characteristics of the rest of your hair. Estimate that by the end of the 3rd month you will you can see about 20% of new hair growth.
5th-8th month
This is the time when the recipient areas of the hair transplant begin to fill with new hair! This is an unforgettable period for patients who have experienced the stress of hair loss, as their hair density and youthful appearance begin to be restored. In the 5th month, the rate of new hair regrowth is around 40%, while by the end of the 8th month you can see about 80% of the result of hair transplantation. Remember, however, that the volume and density of the hair are constantly improved and strengthened until the result is complete.

9th-12th month
New hair growth progresses normally. Hair naturally grows 1-2 centimeters per month and the hairs acquire an even larger diameter, thus giving an even denser result. On average, the final result is completed after one year from the day of the hair transplant. However, depending on the rhythm of each organism, there are cases in which the result develops until the 15th or even 18th month, but already by the 12th month most of the result has been seen. This is the moment when you can look in the mirror and be rewarded for your patience, enjoying the spectacular difference between "before" and "after"! And most importantly? Your new hair is forever!
Hair Transplant – Photo Story
Hair transplantation restores density to thinning areas of the scalp, but it is not a cure for hair loss. Hair loss is allowed to progress. It will never affect the transplanted hair, however. old hair may continue to fall out and therefore you may need a second or even a third hair transplant in the future to enhance density in the same area or in another area of the scalp. The progression of hair loss can usually be predicted and thus a plan for dealing with thinning for the coming years can be formulated from the beginning.
See the Photo Story of one of our patients, who underwent 3 hair transplants in 12 years with excellent results.
1st Hair Transplant
Hair thinning began at a young age from the frontal hairline, with the gradual receding of the anterior frontal line and thinning on the crown of the head. When the thinning reached Norwood grade V, we then proceeded with the 1st hair transplant to restore both the anterior frontal line and the density in zones A and B.

2nd Hair Transplant
Hair loss progressed over the following years, however, only affecting the patient's old hair. Attention: transplanted hair is never affected by the progression of hair loss, since they are taken from the back of the scalp where the hair follicles are not sensitive to the effects of male hormones. The 2nd hair transplant was performed after 10 years in the exact same zones (A and B) to enhance the first result.

3rd Hair Transplant
Two years later, the thinning appeared strongly on the top of the head (the so-called zone C), a new point. This was the reason why the patient proceeded to the third and final hair transplant (only in zone C). Now, he enjoys a natural, uniform, dense effect throughout the scalp. And most importantly? His hair is permanent!
